Holy Huhu a capital hit

Last Friday Dean and Susan from AgriHQ collected our three Ag&Ed Innovation Challenge winners from Feilding, Palmerston North and Masterton in a three hour trip to Wellington.

Adelyne, Jade and Harry did themselves and AgriHQ very proud.

In a PowerPoint presentation (thank you Susan!), we presented the concept to over 30 people from MPI, Pamu, Beef+LambNZ and FMG, and the Holy Huhu team presented their winning business idea.

They were a hit.

They are three awesome students who handled the pressure like champs and answered the dragon's den-like Q&A sessions like professionals.

They got to meet senior leaders, emerging leaders and team leaders (including the Pamu finance team) and they were all blown away by what these three achieved in that two day hackathon weekend at Longridge.

It was a 12 hour day, so in true teenage fashion sleep was the main activity in the back of the car as we left Wellington and came back over the Rimutakas.

Adelyne will work at New World over the summer before heading to Canterbury to study Economics and Commerce.

Jade is heading to Auckland to study medicine and wants to become a pathologist.

Harry has two more years ahead of him at Rathkeale.

Thank you Susan for organising the day and helping give Adelyne, Jade and Harry a day they’ll remember and treasure forever.
